Reflections and Perception (RAP) is an hour-long women's discussion group that meets at 1:00 p.m. on the first Tuesday of every month.  RAP aims to share knowledge, viewpoints, and opinions on a wide variety of topics in a comfortable and enlightened environment. This lively group writes two or three timely, thought-provoking questions on the board and spends the hour discussing the posted subjects.

Story Times

Toddler Time is held Every 2nd Tuesday of the Month with 2 show times:  10:30 and 4:10. This program combines stories, songs, crafts, games and activities for pre-school children and their parents or caregivers.  No need for reservations, just come prepared to sit on the floor with your child and have fun!

Hooks and Needles

A local hobby/craft club! Every Friday until 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. All knitters and crocheters are welcome. Beginners are welcome!

Legally Blonde Auditions – December 4-5, 2017

Elberton, GA – Encore Productions will be having auditions for the first show in the 2018 season and a new musical Legally Blonde  Mon. Dec. 4 and Tues. Dec. 5 in the Elbert Theatre located at 100 S. Oliver Street, Elberton, GA 30635.  The directors are looking to cast a large group of men and women in this show.  Teenagers are encouraged to audition, too!  Anyone planning to audition should drop in between 6PM and 8PM on either date and be prepared to read excerpts from the script for Assistant Directors Dwayne and Jennifer Donald and sing a prepared piece for Conductor Mike Fernandez.  You may sing your chosen song without musical accompaniment or you may bring your own instrumental accompaniment on CD or MP3 device.  Those auditioning should be available during most evening and weekend hours from late Dec. through mid-March.  Performances of Legally Blonde will be held Mar. 9-11 and 16-18 in the Elbert Theatre.  No experience is necessary to audition!  Please note that Encore Productions is a community theatre organization, and all acting roles granted are strictly on a volunteer basis – no paid roles are available.  Please call the Elbert Theatre Office at 706-283-1049 for more audition information.

Show Synopsis:  Elle Woods appears to have it all. Her life is turned upside down, however, when her boyfriend dumps her so he can start getting serious about his life and attend Harvard Law.  Determined to get him back, Elle uses her charm to get into Harvard Law. At school, she struggles with peers, professors and Warner Huntington. With the help of Paulette and Emmett, though, Elle quickly realizes her potential and sets out to prove herself to the world.  This musical is relatively new to the theatre world, catering to the present-day's generation and culture is modeled after the hugely popular motion picture.

Fun Run, 5K and 10.1 K Road Race!

Registration begins at 6:00 p.m. at the Elberton Arts Center off the square in downtown Elberton, Ga. (Behind the Elbert Theatre) "Fun Run" begins at 7:00 p.m., 5K begins at 7:30p.m. and the 10.1 K begins at 8:30 p.m.

NOTE: All runners that participate in the 10.1K must be able to walk/run a 13 minute mile.

$300 to the first runner who beats last record set for 10.1K winning time. The winning time was 33:25. The 10.K finish line will close after 1 Hour and 30 Minutes.
